What ẸKIỌBA knows about you
This page says what we collect, why, who else sees it and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does, not what a policy template says it might.
Last updated 10 October 2026.
The short version
- There are no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising anywhere on ẸKIỌBA.
- We set cookies only to keep you signed in. None of them follows you elsewhere.
- We never store passwords, wallet seed phrases or card numbers.
- Your voice recordings are yours. We keep them only with your agreement, and remove them when you ask.
- Delete your account yourself on the Account page, or write to iyobo@ekioba.com to see what we hold or to have it deleted.
What we collect, and why
Signing in
You can sign in with Telegram, with Apple or with a TON wallet. Telegram tells us your account id, your name and username, and your profile photo link; a wallet tells us its address. Sign in with Apple tells us only an account id that Apple makes for ẸKIỌBA alone: we don't ask Apple for your name or your email address, so we never receive them. Whichever you use, we put a signed cookie in your browser so the site knows you on your next visit. We do not receive your Telegram or Apple password, and connecting a wallet never reveals its seed phrase.
The Language Academy
If you sit graded exams we keep your wallet address, your answers, your grades and your points balance, because that is what the grades and the IDIA conversion are built on. A conversion request also records the amount and, once paid, the transfer's transaction hash — which is public on the TON blockchain by its nature.
Train AI recordings
A recording of your voice is personal data, and we treat it as such.
We keep a clip only if you ticked the agreement before recording, and we store which wording you agreed to alongside the clip itself, so it is always clear what you were told. Clips are used to build Ẹdo language tools — a speech model that can hear and read Ẹdo — and for nothing else. They are not sold, and they are not published as a public archive.
Each clip is stored with the words you read or the transcript someone later wrote, its length and format, and the account that recorded it. A reviewer listens to it before it counts. Other signed-in contributors can hear conversation clips that are waiting to be written down — that is how transcription works — but recordings are never browsable by the public.
You can withdraw at any time. Ask us and we delete your recordings, including from any training set still being prepared. A model already trained cannot have one voice pulled back out of it, so tell us before that point if you have doubts; we will say where things stand when you ask.
Talking to Iyobo
Iyobo remembers people between conversations — your name, what you are learning — so it does not start from nothing each time. Ask it to forget you and it erases what it holds. What you type is sent to xAI, which runs the model that writes the reply.
When you teach Iyobo something, the suggestion waits for a person to approve it. That queue stores your claim with a one-way hash of your account id rather than the id itself, so a reviewer can tell two contributors apart without learning who either of them is.
Orders and the contact form
An order keeps what you bought, where it is going and how it was paid for. A message sent through the contact form is forwarded to our inbox with the name and email you gave, so we can reply; it is not added to any mailing list.
Keeping the site safe
To stop automated attacks, the site counts requests per network address for a few minutes at a time. When a request looks like an attack (probing for files that do not exist, injected code, repeated failed sign-ins, or a flood of requests), we record the address, the page asked for, the browser's description of itself, and what was wrong. Ordinary visits are not recorded. Admins review these records to block abuse.
Who else sees it
ẸKIỌBA uses these services, and only for the purpose in the right-hand column.
| Service | What reaches it |
|---|---|
| xAI (Grok) | What you type to Iyobo, so it can write a reply |
| Supabase | The database holding accounts, orders, Academy records and voice clips |
| Telegram | Sign-in, and messages if you talk to @IdiacoinBot |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, and our request to end that sign-in when you delete your account |
| Resend | Delivers contact-form messages to our inbox |
| Flutterwave | Card and bank payments, which it processes directly |
| TON network | IDIA Coin transfers, which are public on the blockchain |
| Vercel | Hosts the site and keeps ordinary server logs |
| hCaptcha | The human check on payments and the contact form, which sees your network address and browser |
Market prices on the dashboard come from public feeds that receive nothing about you.
Cookies
All strictly necessary, all signed so they cannot be forged, and none used to track you:
ekioba_telegram after a Telegram sign-in, ekioba_apple after Sign in
with Apple, and academy_session after a wallet sign-in. While you are on Apple's
sign-in page, ekioba_apple_flow holds a one-time code for up to ten minutes, so we
can tell that Apple's answer belongs to your sign-in. Clearing them signs you out. There are no advertising or analytics
cookies to refuse, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
How long we keep things
- Sign-in cookies — 30 days, then you sign in again.
- Academy records and orders — while your account is in use, since points and purchases must stay accurate.
- Voice clips — until you ask us to remove them. Rejected clips are removed once reviewed.
- What Iyobo remembers — until you ask it to forget you.
- Contact messages — kept in our inbox like any other email.
- Security records — 30 days, then deleted automatically. A block an admin places on an address lasts until it is lifted.
Your rights
Under Nigeria's Data Protection Act and, where it applies to you, the UK and EU GDPR, you may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw an agreement you gave, or object to a particular use. Write to iyobo@ekioba.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Deleting your account. Sign in, open the Account page and choose Delete my account. That removes at once everything held under each sign-in you are using: your recordings and the transcripts you wrote, your exams, grades and points, raffle tickets, and any IDIA conversion still waiting or turned down. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also ask Apple to end ẸKIỌBA's access to your Apple account. We keep only IDIA conversions that were paid out, because they are financial records (the transfer is public on the TON blockchain anyway). Orders and contact messages are not tied to a sign-in, so write to us to have those removed. We will not ask you to justify the request, and using ẸKIỌBA does not become conditional on leaving your data with us.
Children should not contribute recordings without a parent or guardian agreeing on their behalf.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects recordings already given, we ask contributors again rather than relying on an agreement made to different wording. That is why each clip stores the version of the wording it was given under.
